Rules:
Oil paint, watercolor and acrylics are permitted. All drawing media are welcome.
Park in field to the right after entering farm.
Arrive 15 minutes early for check in.
Fishkill Farms has one sink for hand-washing ONLY. No painting brushes may be cleaned in the sink. Bring extras, and be prepared to take dirty brushes home. Solvents and mediums are not to be disposed of on-site!
Whatever you bring with you, you must take home.
Please be respectful of the beautiful farm grounds.
Skill Level: Intermediate to Professional. Ages 18+.
Open flow is $10. Participation with instruction is available for $20.
The instructed group will be led by artist Lori Sanford-Ross.
Lori Sanford-Ross is a lifelong New Yorker who recently left city life for the beautiful Hudson Valley. Her work has been exhibited at Studio Amwell, London, the New York Studio School, NY, Blue Mountain Gallery, NY (John Yau, juror), La Bodega, Brooklyn, Studio 10, Brooklyn, among other shows throughout the US. Lori’s paintings were featured in the Netflix series, “The Characters.”She was awarded a New Work Grant from the Queens Art Fund, a New York City Artist Corps Grant, and an Individual Artists Award and solo show from Queens Council on the Arts. Lori studied Art History at Hunter College, and has an MFA in painting from the New York Studio School of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture. She teaches painting and drawing at Garrison Art Center in Garrison, NY. You can see Lori’s work on Instagram @lorisanfordross.
